A Private Reception with Bill McKibben

mckibben_nancy_battaglia_2009.jpgBoth the reception and the larger event, "The State of Our Union Is Wrong: A Climate Prebuttal with Bill McKibben," are now SOLD OUT. Thank you for your interest!

On the evening of Wednesday, January 17th, Better Future Project will be welcoming Bill McKibben, author and co-founder of 350.org, for an evening of fundraising activities to benefit Better Future Project and 350 Massachusetts for a Better Future (350 Mass). Bill will start the evening at a private reception in Jamaica Plain from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, and will then be speaking on climate change and the national climate movement at a larger event just a few blocks away. We happily invite you to join us at either or both events!

The reception will be held at a private home and will include delicious food and the opportunity to talk and mingle with Bill. Space is limited, and we are requesting a suggested minimum donation of $200 per person or $300 per couple. If you would like to attend this small reception, please RSVP via the form on this page, and we will send you more information. Please direct any questions to beth@betterfutureproject.org.

Your donation to attend the reception will also cover admission to "The State of Our Union Is Wrong: A Climate Prebuttal with Bill McKibben" at 7:30pm at First Church in Jamaica Plain. Author and professor Juliet Schor will be moderating a conversation with Bill about the climate movement and what we can do in the face of backward climate and energy policy at the federal level.

You will be redirected to our donation page after you submit your RSVP. If you would prefer to donate by check, you can make it out and mail it to Better Future Project, 30 Bow St., Cambridge, MA 02138, or you may bring a check to the event.

If you would prefer to attend just the larger public event, you can purchase tickets via Eventbrite.
